EPISODE 1
Finally, the adventure is about to begin…
Nora and Michael’s journey will first stop in the province of Parma, in Emilia-Romagna, where Michael and Nora will visit the Antica Corte Pallavicina, the famous home of Culatello di Zibello, and the Castle of Rivalta.
EPISODE 2
The surprise Nora had in store for Michael was nothing other than a new stop on their journey. Thus, they arrive in Monselice, in Veneto, just a short distance from the Euganean Hills, where Nora and Michael visit the Castle of Thiene and the Castle of Monselice.
EPISODE 3
Palazzo Albergati and the Rocca di Dozza are located near Bologna and Modena, very close to Nora’s company and to where Michael lives in Modena. Today, Nora and Michael are going to visit two ancient castles, the origins for many famous dishes of Emilia-Romagna.
EPISODE 4
Villa Smeraldi and Villa Le Corti are located in Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany. The first small jewel is situated very close to Nora and Michael in the Bologna area. From there, they head toward Tuscany, where they will visit a cuisine that showcases the roots of our modern culinary traditions.
EPISODE 5
The first stop on their journey takes Nora and Michael to Castello di Padernello in Lombardy, near Borgo San Giacomo in the province of Brescia. Palazzo d’Arco is their second stop and is located in the city of Mantua, on the border between Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy.
EPISODE 6
In this final episode of the “Kitchens of the Castles” series, Nora and Michael visit Villa da Schio, near Vicenza, in Veneto. They also decide to prepare a small dish in memory of the legendary Italian recipes that were born in some of these historic castles.

La nostra nuova serie porta lo spettatore a visitare le più belle e antiche cucine dei castelli e dimore storiche d’Italia, un mondo ai più inesplorato e sconosciuto. Con “Cucine dei Castelli” abbiamo viaggiato in tutta l’Italia, dal Nord al Sud, per cercare e per filmare le cucine ancora esistenti nella loro originalità o, se restaurate, tali da mantenere inalterati ambienti, arredi ed utensili dell’epoca.
ANTICHE RICETTE.
Siamo andati alla ricerca di antiche ricette che spesso sono rimaste nascoste perche’ tramandate solo all’interno delle famiglie proprietarie delle dimore storiche. Nelle cucine ancora funzionanti assisteremo alla preparazione di piatti storici, spesso ancora in uso o spesso completamente dimenticati. Avremo anche la possibilita’ di descrivere le ricette originali di questi piatti.

Con la collaborazione dell’ ASSOCIAZIONE DIMORE STORICHE ITALIANE (ADSI), costituita dai 5000 proprietari e distribuite sull’intero territorio italiano, abbiamo deciso di dare vita a questi documentari; guidati da passione e determinazione, siamo andati a filmare gli arredi e gli utensili e a cucinare antiche ricette nelle loro cucine ancora funzionanti.
